In the Bailey lab at Clarkson University in Potsdam NY, we explore a range of processes driving evolutionary dynamics, from ecological interactions to mutational biases, using a combination of microbial experimental evolution and mathematical/ statistical modeling approaches. Currently, our research has three main themes:

  1. The effects of spatial structure and heterogeneity on the dynamics of evolution;

  2. Using genomic patterns of parallel evolution to infer the drivers of evolution;

  3. Eco-evolutionary dynamics of predator-prey/ host-parasite systems.
